Newport Flavours' Xanthan Gum is a natural gum used primarily as a food additive. This is a high quality 200 Mesh Xanthan Gum Its most notable feature is that it can increase the viscosity, or thickness, of a liquid by added in small quantities. It is ideal for making things like sauces salad dressing as it stays thick until you shake it up or pour it out. After it leaves the bottle, it thickens back up and clings to the salad. It can be used in toothpastes, ice creames, and most notably to replace gluten. Xanthan Gum won't change the color or flavor of foods and beverages. It is produced by fermentation of various vegetable products such as cabbage, chick peas.
